The professor of medicine at the University of Buenos Aires and the chair-elect of the ACC Assembly of International Governors, Dr. Daniel Jose Pineiro is one of the leading figures in cardiology’s global community. Over the years, he has held leadership positions in a number of multi-national medical institutions.

As President of the Inter-American Society of Cardiology, Dr. Daniel Jose Pineiro played the key role in expanding the organization’s outreach to engage in worldwide non-communicable disease efforts. He participated in United Nations summits and joint programs with groups such as The Pan American Health Organization. He also worked alongside the ACC at the World Health Assembly and received 2014 International Service Award in recognition of his inclusive, border-crossing perspective.

Dr. Pineiro has participated in more than 100 national and international gatherings and symposia as a coordinator, lecturer, panelist, and round table chair. Besides that, he has authored and co-authored over 100 scientific articles at cardiovascular congresses and symposia, and has also headed around 40 courses on echocardiography and clinical cardiology worldwide.

Dr. Daniel Jose Pineiro is one of the top Cardiologists in Argentina. He has completed over 30 courses on echocardiography, clinical cardiology arrhythmia and clinical cardiology worldwide. He served as the President of the Argentinean Society of Cardiology in 2006. He has also been rewarded at the 50th Anniversary Contest in 2009 in memory of Hayde de Luca. In 2014, he received International Service Award, American College of Cardiology. He has participated in around 100 National and International congresses and symposia as a director, panelist and senior lecturer.
