Revolutionary Wireless Motorcycle Helmet Brake and Signal Light Saves Lives

HelSTAR, the revolutionary wireless motorcycle helmet brake and signal light designed to save lives, in development for 10 years, enters it's final phase of creation.

More than 40,000 people died in motorcycle crashes in the last decade. Studies have shown that motorcyclists are most often hit because they aren’t seen—especially from behind. Brake and tail lights on motorcycles are often low and small, making for a considerably hazardous situation for vehicles approaching stopped motorcycles from behind.

An extra brake light at eye level: a simple solution with a decade of work behind it. Third Eye Design, Inc. introduces HelSTAR, the first helmet-mounted motorcycle brake and signal light designed with riders’ safety in mind. Able to attach to any motorcycle helmet, the HelSTAR system is entirely wireless, automatically turns on with a motorcycle and can be installed on any motorcycle. It operates on an ultra-low power radio frequency to eliminate the need for an on/off switch and minimize interference with other systems. Road Runner Magazine called it “a great idea with even better implementation.”

The final step in Third Eye Design’s strategic plan is to rally contributors behind its Indiegogo campaign to raise funding for the prototype development and eventual manufacturing of HelSTAR. It aims to raise $100,000 and offers several perks to contributors at various levels. Contributing to this campaign has the potential to prevent thousands of injuries and save countless lives.
