Dr. Srishti Mahajan, a renowned Homeopathic Doctor in Delhi NCR was invited to attend an awareness conference on cervical cancer and HPV. The event was organized by MSD in partnership with NDTV. The main motive of this conference was to bring people, especially women, from all aspects of the society to come together and spread awareness about HPV and cervical cancer.
Cervical cancer has already caused numerous deaths so far. As per recent reports, every 8 minutes the life of a woman is claimed by cervical cancer. It is of utmost importance to create awareness regarding this disease. NDTV organized this awareness event which was supported by MSD. The motive of this conference event was to create awareness among the society regarding cervical cancer and it’s prevention by early screening and proper vaccination. The event took place at Hyatt Regency, Bhikaji Gamma palace.
Speakers from various sectors/sections of society actively joined hands to create awareness about cervical cancer and HPV related issues in India. Health workers, Doctors, Asha Workers, Policy Makers, Students, Teachers and Principals of schools were invited to share their contributions in our fight against cervical cancer. Apart from this, families of cervical cancer survivors were also welcomed to share their challenges that were faced by them and the patient themselves.
The motive of this awareness event was to bring policymakers, healthcare professionals, advocates, educationists, and parents together to have a detailed discussion about the prevention of cervical cancer and HPV related diseases in India through simple preventive measures.
Early screening and proper preventive measures can save a lot of women from death by HPV. As a result of such events many lives can be saved and people are driven to opt for preventive measures to avoid these types of illness.
