Caricom Bottling Company, Incorporated of Guyana, South American introduced its new vodka coolers products in 2013, the West Indies Vodka Coolers. Available in six flavors and promoted as a cocktail in a bottle, the product launched at the Gravity Lounge in Georgetown, Guyana. Caricom Bottling Company, ably supported by Safeco Holding Company Chairman Dr. Joshua Safeek, has invested millions in the development of its beverage line, headed by popular West Indies Spring Water. The newest offering of West Indies Vodka Coolers comes in six flavors; pina colada, sea breeze, cosmopolitan, volcano lava, blue lagoon and kamakazi.

Chairman Dr. Joshua Safeek explained that the development of Caricom’s newest product was researched for nearly a year and a half before actual development and launch. Of special pride is that the product is locally produced and will soon be exported exclusively from Caricom in Guyana. Dr. Safeek estimates that nearly a billion dollars has been invested in the state of the art Caricom Bottling. Plans are also underway to develop and export a new beer and lemon and lime bitters.

Dr. Joshua Safeek emphasizes the pride Caricom Bottling has in their products and in their process, hoping that Caricom will be competitive both locally and in overseas markets. The two Caricom plants, one on Broad Street in Georgetown and the other under construction in Berbice, are viewed as both strong additions to the Guyanese economy and as a legacy for Guyana citizens, creating employment now and in the future. Dr. Safeek takes pride in the exclusive Guyana manufacturing and bottling of the products. Dr. Safeek also expounds upon the unique and specialty quality of the six new vodka cooler flavors which offers a new taste sensation for the consumer using local ingredients. All Caricom Bottling products are certified by the Guyanese Food and Drug Department and meet wholesome standards.

Carocom Bottling entered beverage manufacture only three years ago when it introduced its West Indies Spring Water, followed by its West Indies Beer. The vodka coolers line was originated by Dr. Joshua Safeek, who developed the idea of blending cocktails together for bottling as a unique refreshment.
