Dr. Devi Charan Shetty, Principal of the I.T.S. Dental College, Murad Nagar, Ghaziabad organized the annual sports and cultural meet. According to a press release in Dainik Jagran recently, Dr. Devi Charan Shetty along with Chairman of the I.T.S Education group, Dr. RP Chadha and Director General of the college, Dr. Hari Parkash were present in the event. Dr. DC Shetty inaugurated the event which is held annually in the college. Dr. Shetty along with other dignitaries lightened the lamp to mark the beginning of the event. Dr. Devi Charan Shetty spoke on this occasion and highlighted the importance of extra-curricular activities in the all round development of the students. Dr. Shetty also motivated the students to excel in various fields of sports as it is a means of keeping the mind and body fit. Dr. DC Shetty also stressed on the value of keeping oneself in shape in this competitive world of today. Dr. Shetty also welcomed students from different dental colleges of North India in the event. Dr. Devi Charan Shetty motivated all students to take part in the event in a sporting and ethical manner. Dr. Devi Charan Shetty inspired the students to take part in cultural events as such events are a means to showcase the cultural diversity of the nation at one platform. Dr. Shetty led his team from the front to make this grand event into a success. Dr. Shetty was instrumental in organizing the two day event at such a large scale. Dr. Shetty’s students participated in all the events in sports and cultural category. The event organized by Dr. Devi Charan Shetty comprised of indoor and outdoor sports such as acrrom, chess, table tennis, cricket, football and athletics. The cultural events included dancing, singing, skit and street plays. Dr DC Shetty and his students excelled in various events. Dr. Shetty’s students won top prizes in almost all the events which included participants from different dental colleges across North India. Dr. Shetty felicitated the students who earned top honors in sports and cultural categories. Dr. Shetty also presented awards and certificates of appreciation to students from other colleges who did well in their respective competitive categories. Dr. Devi Charan Shetty also arranged for a gala evening with a concert by well known Hindi singer Shaan who enthralled the audience with his mesmerizing voice. Dr. Devi Charan Shetty on this occasion applauded the efforts put in by students in organizing the event at such a great magnitude. Dr. Shetty’s hardwork, who is known to be the mentor and known to bring out the best in his students by inspiring them to achieve greater heights, was visible by the performance of his students in the event.
