Tallit Fabric Highly Demanded By Jewish For Prayers

The following press release provides detail information about Tallit fabric which generally use for Jewish prayers.

The tallit katan is an un-tailored rectangular garment with a hole in the middle and is worn like a poncho, but under the shirt. It is worn for the ritual tassels, called tzitzits, hanging down from each corner. Wearing tzitzit on a daily basis is a show of Jewish pride. For millennia Jews have maintained forms of attire that distinguished them from the surrounding population, which sometimes exposed them to bigotry and even danger.

The commandment of talit is unique in that it surrounds the wearer, enveloping him with holiness from head to toe. Each of the four corners has a small hole used to attach special tassels, called tzitzits. When tied, they hang down with an elaborate set of coils and knots followed by eight dangling strings. Since broken tzitzit strings can invalidate the entire tallit, the strings must be inspected every day before they are worn to ensure they are still intact. During the tzitzit inspection, the individual strings should be separated if they have become tangled.

As long as each corner has at least seven complete strings, the tallit katan remains kosher. We are enjoined to see the tzitzit as a reminder of the commandments and to prevent one from pursuing the urges of the heart. Therefore the tallit should be visible, not hidden from sight, although some Sephardic Jews have a custom - based on Kabbala - to wear their tzitzits tucked out of sight.

There may also be an option to tie them yourself, which is not very difficult to learn, and tallit gadol tying guides can be readily found online. Generally made of cotton, it is partly closed on the sides to stay in place better, which is particularly helpful for kids or for adults playing sports. Some even wear it in place of an undershirt.
