QS World Analysis issued in January 2014 regarding the motivation, choices and expectations of students abroad informed that :

1. Popular destination of studies
Four major Anglophone destinations (U.S., UK, Australia and Canada) remains a favorite even though they experienced a downfall of numbers, while Germany is currently a favorite option and continue to increase, occupying the fourth position as a study abroad destination. International students are now considering other options their study destination.

2. Study Cost
Research shows that the cost of education is an important factor affecting students' choice of study destination. Tuition fees, living expenses and the cost of the visa is a component that can not be avoided in studying abroad. Given the rising cost of education, students get smarter and choose destination of studies that provide the best opportunities, offers a cost-effective manner, including a unique program that is obtained to continue the study abroad program, including the availability of scholarships and financial aid programs of study.

HSBC issued the data in 2013 that Australia ($ 25,375), U.S ( $25,226), UK ($19,291) and Canada ($18,474) are the world's most expensive study destination in terms of annual study cost. 4. Motivation and Priority
International recognition is still a destination determinant of studies but not becoming something that is absolute. Tuition fees, financial aid and employment after graduation became a major factor in determining their choice.

The students who have graduated and holds a bachelor degree possesses high expectation towards the career development and future wages, and they are ready to work hard to achieve it. QS World research based in the year 2013 mentioned that the majority of graduation sees themselves in 10 years as: business person or owner of the company (24%), directors at large companies (17%) or the head of a large company (15%). Almost 18% of them target themselves with a salary of at least USS100.000 annually.

The analysis above shows the importance of getting the right information and access to the selecting universities abroad. Study abroad population increasingly diverse in ethnic and economic backgrounds, as well as career and curricular interests.
