The Press conference held at the Corporate office of the Dental Care Network here in Sydney was addressed by their Director of Press Communications. The director started the conference by giving a preview of the network’s beginnings and how they have grown to a massive scale now that they have operations across Australia and New Zealand.
Having begun quite small, the Dental Care Network has more than sixty-three dental practices, just in Sydney. The Director also gave the gathering a run down on the numbers across the continent. During question time, one of the gathered had ventured to ask if they have come up with any new ideas that would set patients at ease when coming in for a painful procedure.
To this the director spoke about the new sedation dentistry technique for patients who are very anxious. As per this technique, the patient who has to undergo the dental procedure is given a local anaesthetic to numb the area. But if the patient is still very anxious, then an IV sedation is given to calm the patient down completely before starting a procedure. Such a procedure helps the patient deal with painful dental procedures easily.
The Director also stated that the best way to avoid painful procedures would be to inculcate the habit of good dental hygiene amongst children. He also stated that the Dental Care network now accepts the CDBS (Child Dental benefits Schedule) - a government plan that helps parents provide the best dental care for their children by financially assisting them.
With over 63 dental practices in Sydney alone, it is now easy to get an appointment straight away and in the locality of your choice. The Director of Press Communications also stated that a patient can just call the number for an appointment and walk into the practice where the appointment is scheduled at the given time.
The press conference concluded with the Director stating that, hereafter, people cannot give pain or cost as some excuses for not going to the dentist. Since they are now authorised to give IV sedation, patients do not have to worry about the pain, and as for costs, there are many payment options and loans that are available to ease the financial burden on patients.
