[Australia, 13 June 2016] – Pickles Auctions, an Australia-based auto and equipment auctioneer, accepts trucks, earthmoving plants, machinery, and agricultural equipment for monthly auction. Clients should follow the easy steps in selling their items for auction.

Booking Items for Auction

Clients who want to sell their truck, machinery, or agricultural equipment should first contact the local branch to arrange the inspection and valuation of the item. Delivery of the equipment to be sold must be at least 10-14 days prior to the auction.

Agreement & Insurance

All items presented for auction needs to have an agency agreement to be fulfilled and signed by the seller. An authorisation letter must be supplied with all the title information. The insurance is the seller’s responsibility, at the risk of the seller in terms of any damage or loss suffered.

For sellers who want to disposed of their trucks with registration, they must supply a current safety certificate acquired during the last 28 days or current certification of inspection (COI) for vehicles on the NHVAS. This certificate is proof that the truck is roadworthy and is more appealing to potential buyers.

Trucks and trailers without certificate can still be auctioned, but under the Motor Dealers Act, the plates must be removed from the asset.

Registration Plates & Proof of Purchase

If the client wants to retain the personalised number plates, it should be removed from the truck and place them on “hold” at the client’s local motor registry. Client should also request replacement plates, and must get the registration papers including a replacement label. The seller of the truck is the one responsible for all these transactions and not the Pickles Auction staff.

The proof of purchase is mandatory to prove that the client is the genuine owner of the truck. This will include the name, address, and telephone numbers of the seller. Pickles Auction does not accept trucks that are previously purchased at a damaged auction.

Clients who have current financing on their vehicle for sale must complete an authority form to enable the staff to make enquiries on the account’s finalisation. Payment will be deducted from the sale’s proceeds and will be transferred to the finance company on the client’s behalf.
