Budget-Friendly Birthday Party Tips

As the birthday approaches, parents tend to go crazy getting the perfect decorations and frosting an outrageous cake without realizing the fact that may be our kids would.

We are rounding a few tips if you are looking for ways to keep everything simple. These tips will help you plan a meaningful, fun and budget-friendly kids’ party in Central NJ:
1. Start by reducing the size of the guest list. Prioritize your guests and invite accordingly.
2. It’s better that you bake a simple birthday cake for your kid instead of ordering a complicated one from a bakery. Of course, go ahead and decorate the cake with colorful frosting and sprinkles, or add a simple cake topper that deems fit. You can also have your kid decorate the cake along with his/her siblings.
3. Balloons are one of the most inexpensive decorations, so use lots of them. Balloons can also be used to play party games.
4. Instead of spending big bucks on party decorations at a store, let your children make them.
5. No need to hire outside entertainment when there are so many traditional party games available, which are as much (if not more) fun!
6. Public parks are a good place to host parties at since they are free and provide built-in entertainment in the form of basketball hoops, swings, etc.
7. When it comes to giving favors, select ones that are longer lasting, such as seeds to plant in the garden and more on similar lines.
8. When purchasing party decorations, choose ones that can be used again and again, year after year.
9. Consider electronic invitations, they are way easier and faster.
10. Make party supplies yourself, take advice though since crafting up your own decorations can take a lot of time and sometimes are way more expensive.
11. On the food front, you can order pizza, which could mean making a casserole or lasagne in advance that just needs to be reheated.
Keep one thing in mind: birthday parties aren’t about seeing who can spend the most money, they are about celebrating a year in the life of a child. Have an open dialogue with your kid about your reasons for simplifying the party. You need to make them understand the values that are driving your decisions.
