Yasmin Ghafoor emphasizes the importance of embracing and learning from all the difficulties put in front of us in her publication The Untold Story of Yasmin Ghafoor.

Yasmin Ghafoor is the author of the autobiography The Untold Story of Yasmin Ghafoor.

In her book, The Untold Story of Yasmin Ghafoor, the author has described the different changes a person experiences in their life and what value as well as anguish those changes could mean to us.

Yasmin abbreviates about the feelings experienced by a person over their life while having to adapt to the different types of changes that take place. Yasmin's book entails all the difficulties, both direct and indirect. She had to steer through periodically from a very young age. She explains that although being riddled with perilous situations, it was these experiences that helped mold her into the person she is today.

Yasmin beautifully portrays her own experiences to explain the huge impact radical changes can have on people, especially young and sheltered children. Her book starts in the green plains of her village, Abdara, situated in Peshawar, Pakistan. Life in her village was simply redefined and somewhat backward. As a child, Yasmin was very sheltered because of the custom differentiation of the female gender practiced there. Her family was a loving one, with her father portrayed as a typical doting parent. Her early days were spent living in the common mud houses of her village and playing in the lush green fields

The first major change she had to face was leaving behind her loved ones to travel and live in a faraway land. She accompanied a friend that later became her guardian to the United States in search of a better life. Not being able to see one's family and changing their surroundings drastically can have huge impacts on a child's psyche that are not easy to deal with.

Later another huge event that posed immense trouble for Yasmin was when she moved back to her village and found everything uncomfortable. It takes time to get accustomed to one's environment and thrive in it. Moving to the States at a young age molded Yasmin's mind to be very independent and made her an open-minded person. But shifting to a dominantly reserved environment with a strong imposing on religious rules and laws had her feel uncomfortable and restricted.

Yasmin has beautifully explained that many times people will have to deal with betrayal and loneliness at times that are not always convenient. Things happen, tragedies occur. The only thing one can do is learn from them and move on.
