Darrell Landrum of Oregon, an information technology professional, has been a member of the Oregon Motorcycle Riders Association for the past ten years. Joining OMRA in 2003, Darrell Landrum of Oregon is an avid motorcycle rider who enjoys the community he finds with other motorcyclists. Darrell Landrum of Oregon stated, “Being able to participate in the OMRA racing series as a lot of fun and pure rush of adrenaline every time.” Darrell Landrum of Oregon has been a motorcycle enthusiast since childhood, begging his parents for his first Hodaka motorcycle which he bought with his own money a young teenager.

OMRA has existed in Oregon since 1972. Based out of Tualatin, Oregon, OMRA is the statewide sanctioning body for off-road motorcycle events. Their organizational purpose is to bring motorcycle riders together and to protect off-road motorcycle recreation while still having fun. OMRA provides two types of membership: Individual and Family Memberships versus Club Memberships and sanctioning fees. OMRA contains multiple clubs, including the Applegate Rough Riders, Central Oregon Motorcycle and ATV Club, Emerald Trail Riders Association, Jones Creek Trailriders Association, Lobos, Motorcycle Riders Association, Mt. Scott, Northwest Off-Road Racers Association, Northwest Quad Riders, Northwest Tour and Trail, Ochoco Trailriders, Over the Bars Gang, Prineville Adventure Park, RUTS Oregon, Trailsmen, and Umpqua Lands Trail Riders Association.

One issue that OMRA takes a strong stance on is closures on public lands. OMRA seeks to protect open trails and promote the expansion of these trails for motorcycle riders. They have a legislative fund that raises money to pay for legal fees in their quest to keep riding areas open and expanded. In conjunction with this, OMRA encourages riders to purchase a state OHV sticker because the money from this sticker goes back into OHV use and projects throughout Oregon.

Darrell Landrum of Oregon has taken part in numerous events sanctioned by OMRA. These events include races, team races, playdays, and poker runs. OMRA has a racing series and dualsport series, as well as both competitive and non-competitive events. Darrell Landrum of Oregon enjoys competing and participating in these events. Darrell Landrum of Oregon also frequently participates in community building events with friends from OMRA.
