The Barclays Premier League is the most popular league on Ultimate Team, thanks to the amount of high-rated, high quality players available in each position in the league. With that being said, the more expensive strikers are still less frequent on the list than those less expensive. The popularity of the Premier League is so obvious that the top nine scorers in the Premier League featured on the overall top twenty list.

10. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) – 4.46 million goal

Sergio Aguero, the only player on the list that didn’t make the overall top twenty. That fact probably has to do with his price and the majority of FIFA players not being able to afford having the Argentinian in their squads. One of the best strikers on the game in terms of his statistics, with high pace, shooting and dribbling.

9. Stevan Jovetic (Manchester City) – 5.05 million goals

Jovetic is a different type of striker to Aguero. Rather than the small, quick style of Aguero, Jovetic is more of a physical presence up front, with his height and physicality rating. In front of goal, he is as good as any striker on the game for the price you would pay.

8. Mario Balotelli (Liverpool) – 6.25 million goals

An Ultimate Team fans’ favourite, Balotelli is still a strong forward on the game with his mixture of both pace and physical style. Being over six foot tall, Balotelli is strong in the air and possesses good strength, whilst maintaining strong pace making him an excellent all round attacking player.

7. Christian Benteke (Aston Villa) – 6.28 million goals

Christian Benteke is a player that is used more in 4-3-3 formations, a formation which is not as often used on the game. His lack of pace in comparison with players of a similar style make him difficult to favour, however his physical and shooting ratings are excellent for the 1,000 coins you would now have to pay.

6. Eduardo Vargas (QPR) – 6.50 million goals

Another striker that has taken a price drop to below the 1,000 coin mark. When the game was first released, Vargas was around 7,000 coins and was an excellent option then. With his price dropping so much he becomes even better. Similar to Aguero in the fact that he is a small, stocky striker with excellent pace and dribbling.

5. Diego Costa (Chelsea) – 6.59 million goals

The best Premier League striker on the game in terms of natural finishing; you have Diego Costa in your team and you are almost guaranteed a goal per game. Not blessed with the most ridiculous pace, Costa is more of an all-round striker, with eighty plus ratings in pace, shooting and physicality.

4. Danny Welbeck (Arsenal) – 7.34 million goals

Danny Welbeck is the only non-rare player on the list, but deserves his position on the list as he is one of the best non-rare cards on the game this year. Positioned as a striker again, Welbeck has eighty-five pace, whilst his dribbling, shooting and physical are all strong too. The only disappointment in the card is his high defensive work rate.

3. Romelu Lukaku (Everton) – 7.87 million goals

Christian Benteke’s main rival for the type of player each of them are. Lukaku is the quicker version of the player, but isn’t as strong in the box, nor in the air. In front of goal, Lukaku is more clinical, shown by the goals scored, mainly down to the fact he can score with his head, or either foot.

2. Loic Remy (Chelsea) – 10.25 million goals

The strongest striker in the Premier League on the game; although Diego Costa is the best, Loic Remy has a lot of strengths for an attacking card. Superb pace and shooting will see you leave defenders in your dust and score on occasion. His physical rating make him dangerous in the air, as well as his dribbling allowing you to beat defenders whilst controlling the ball.

1. Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool) – 10.27 million goals

Daniel Sturridge is a striker I used a lot last year, but have not used him as much this season. Any time I have had the Liverpool striker in my team, he has missed glorious chances. Again, it’s no surprise to see the quicker strikers near the top of the list and Sturridge is certainly one of them, as well as having excellent shooting and dribbling.

So those ten players are the top scoring players on Ultimate Team from the Barclays Premier League. When you are building a BPL side, do you go with any of these players, or do you choose other strikers such as Rooney, RVP or Falcao?
