The India and West Indies will face each other in the first match of three-matchTwenty20 internationals series on November 4.

The ICC Cricket Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements of the legends from cricket's long and illustrious history. From Indian National Cricket Team only five players feature in the list.

Recently Indian Cricketer Rahul Dravid who is the coach of India A and India U-19 was inducted in the Hall of Fame along with former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting and England woman cricketer Claire Taylor who were also inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame.

Rahul Dravid has been a consistent force behind the development of India U19 and India A teams. It was under his mentorship when the India U19 team led by Prithvi Shaw won the U19 World Cup in New Zealand.

Rahul Dravid and Ricky Ponting both fulfilled the criteria required to be inducted into the Hall of Fame i.e. A player ought to complete five years away from cricket to be eligible to enter the club. Rahul Dravid retired from international cricket in March 2012 while Ricky Ponting retired in December 2012.

Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar handed over the trophy to Rahul Dravid. After his name was included in the elite list, Dravid said, “It’s a real honor and privilege to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame and be in the company of some of my heroes. Thank you to everyone for the support throughout my career,”.

He further said, "To find your name in a list of all-time greats across generations is something one only dreams of while setting out on a cricket career and the kind of recognition that would delight any player."

Rahul has joined an elite list which features former captains Bishan Singh Bedi, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, and Anil Kumble. Rahul Dravid's contribution to Indian cricket has been enormous and now finally he is a part of the ICC Hall of Fame.

Many Cricketers like Hardik Pandya, Cheteshwar Pujara, Mahela Jayawardene and many others congratulated both of them.

Hardik Pandya on Twitter wrote, “You are a true gentleman of the game! Congratulations Rahul Dravid sir on being inducted into the @ICC Hall of Fame and joining the many other legends there!! You’ll fit in!”.
