A franchise that is representing India’s Capital in Indian Premier League is Delhi Daredevils which before the IPL 2019 has changed its name to Delhi Capitals. DD now DC has not won a single IPL title yet.

Delhi Daredevils is a team which has not performed well in any IPL season. But for IPL 2019, they have seemed to have a strong team and a new name. The team is captained by Shreyas Iyer.


IPL Delhi Capitals Team 2019has some strong players which may lead newly-named Delhi Capitals to win its maiden IPL title. The Delhi Capitals 25 man squad include Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan who was traded from Sunrisers Hyderabad for Abhishek Sharma, Vijay Shankar, and Shahbaz Nadeem.

Among the list, players who are in limelight and are expected to perform well for Delhi Capitals are Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, and Prithvi Shaw. Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL auction has released few players including its former captain Gautam Gambhir.

The current captain of Delhi Capitals is Shreyas Iyer who in April 2018 was appointed as captain replacing Gautam Gambhir. Shikhar Dhawan performed well in IPL 2018 for Sunrisers Hyderabad, he scored 497 runs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad stood runner-up in IPL 2018 which was won by Chennai Super Kings. It will also be interesting to watch how the 19-year-old player Prithvi Shaw will bring any change in the IPL for Delhi Capitals or not.

Shaw was a good player of Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2018. During his IPL debut, he scored 22 runs in just 10 balls for DD. He also notched up his first IPL fifty against the Kolkata Knight Riders. His knock of 62 runs helped DD to win against KKR.

Rishabh Pant also performed well in IPL 2018 for DD. He scored 128 not out from 63 balls which is the highest individual score by an Indian cricketer in a Twenty20 match. Pant is expected to perform this time too.
