On the Day 3 of IND vs AUS second test of the four-match Test series at Perth, India’s Skipper Virat Kohli set another record in Test cricket. He became the second fastest player to score 25 Test centuries after Sir Donald Bradman who achieved the milestone in just 68 innings.

He also equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s record for the highest centuries scored by an Indian in Australian soil. Both of them have scored 6 Test hundreds down under. Sachin Tendulkar took 130 innings to achieve the feat while Virat Kohli took 127 innings.

Virat Kohli also equaled Clive Lloyd’s record for the most centuries that are four in Australia as a visiting captain. This is Virat Kohli's seventh Test hundred against Australia while his sixth test hundred Down Under.

In Oceania, Indian Captain has now scored the 7th century while this is his 14th hundred in away Tests. This is also Virat Kohli's 18th Test century as the captain of the team India.

On Twitter, Former Indian Captains Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar quickly praised Virat Kohli for his amazing knock against Aussies. Sachin Tendulkar considers that this century is one of Kohli’s finest innings while Sourav Ganguly stated that Tendulkar and Kohli are the greatest players he has seen playing.

Sachin Tendulkar wrote, “Well played @imVkohli. One of your finest innings. This knock will be remembered for a long time. #INDvAUS”.

Sourav Ganguly tweeted, “Absolute masterpiece from kohli at Perth .. @bcci @imVkohli .. two of my greatest I have seen play .. Tendulkar and kohli (not seen bradman or sobers play live )”.

Many other foreign cricketers have praised Kohli. Former England captain Michael Vaughan considers Virat Kohli as a better batsman across all the three formats as compared to the legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, and Ricky Ponting.
