Proteas Win the Test series against Pakistan by 3-0

Pakistan tour of South Africa started with the longest format of the game on December 26. It consists of three-match test series, five-match one-day internationals, and three-match Twenty20 series ending on February 6.

 
Pakistan tour of South Africa started with the longest format of the game on December 26. It consists of three-match test series, five-match one-day internationals, and three-match Twenty20 series ending on February 6.

Ahead of the first test, the tour had scheduled a 3-day Practice match between South African Invitation XI and Pakistan which Pakistan won by 6 wickets. After that, Pakistan National Cricket Team has seen a series of failure in all the three tests that ended yesterday.

The first test match was scheduled from December 26 at SuperSport Park in Centurion. The first test was won by South Africa by 6 wickets. The second test started from January 3 at Newlands in Cape Town and was won by South Africa by 9 wickets.

The third test match was scheduled at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg from January 11 and the third and the final test was won by Proteas by 107 runs. South Africa National Cricket Team whitewashed Pakistan National Cricket Team 3-0 in the three-match test series.

With this test series victory over Pakistan, South Africa escalated to No 2 in the ICC rankings on day four of the third and final test at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Now, the tour will have 5 ODIs from January 19 which will be followed by the 3 T20Is from February 1.

Pakistan’s squad for the upcoming ODI series include Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali, Hussain Talat, Imad Wasim, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Shan Masood, Shoaib Malik and Usman Khan.

Whereas, South Africa’s squad for the first and the second ODI includes Captain Faf du Plessis, Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks, Imran Tahir, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Dane Paterson, Andile Phehlukwayo, Dwaine Pretorius, Kagiso Rabada, Tabraiz Shamsi, Dale Steyn, and Rassie van der Dussen.
