Agra, 27th September 2018: Jaypee Palace Hotel & Convention Centre, celebrated world tourism day by organizing a panel discussion on theme tourism and the digital transformation at hospitality institute (Jaypee hotels and training center) and spot quiz was organized for the hospitality students. The theme was given by united nation world tourism organization (UNWTO).
Panel discussion was chaired by Mr Hari Sukumar, Vice President, Operations, (Jaypee Palace Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra) and the chief guests were Dr Renuka Dang (Dietician & Nutritionist, Rainbow hospital and President of Gourmet Club of Agra & entrepreneur) and Mr Rajiv Saxena (Executive Director- Sanskriti vacation, Secretary general tourism guild of Agra, A travel buff and Gourmet Chef).
Panel discussion end with a conclusion that digitally advanced tourism sector can improve entrepreneurship, inclusion, local community empowerment and efficient resource management, amongst other important development objectives. This year’s WTD will help us to further explore the opportunities provided to tourism by technological advances including big data, artificial intelligence and digital platforms.
