Craig Curk, an alumnus at the Xavier University has earned his BSBA in Accounting.

After four years of hard work and dedication, Craig Curk has received his diploma at Xavier University. The certification that he earned during the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting program will give him excellent opportunities to find his place in the business world. As a member of the Accounting Society within Xavier, he has had the opportunity to develop his leadership skills and get a good glimpse into the service activities that will be expected of him once his professional career takes off.

The university allowed him to be a part of a network that should allow him to showcase his skills to practicing professionals. These people are some of the most devoted and prominent accountants in the Cincinnati area and its neighboring state. The “Xavier Advantage” which the institution likes to mention quite often, is certainly a real, quantifiable difference that helps the alumni to build meaningful professional relationships in the region. It involves both programs and internships being made available to the brightest students.

The VITA program – of which Craig Curk naturally took advantage - is especially interesting, and very likely the most important element of Xavier’s accounting training. By participating in this program, one can obtain first-hand experience that can aid in developing a base of knowledge on various major accounting topics. Tax returns and low-income regulations are just some of the multiple important staples that make the program such a huge success.

Xavier also offers as many as two internship possibilities, options that are available for juniors and seniors. These internships allow the students to work with some of the biggest and most successful national accounting firms in America, and not just the local ones. On occasions, these opportunities involve specific offers at some of the most prominent private ventures in the US. Those who showcase a unique combination of skills and devotion can basically count on an internship that will very likely lead to a financially lucrative career in the business.

Craig Curk has worked extremely hard to earn these great opportunities, and cannot wait until he can start his professional career, quite possible in his home state of Ohio.
