The present market for on-demand in India CGB is an upslope, reflecting a significant potential for the sectors. The Indian Biogas market, valued at $1.47 billion in 2022, is projected to reach $2.25 billion by 2029, and it is growing at a CAGR of 6.3% during the forecast period. After the impact of COVID-19, the growth of the sectors is closely tied to increasing nature or environmental awareness, as the demand for CBG is expected to rise, offering sustainable offers substantial opportunities for their expansion and for development in the CBG market.

What are the challenges are currently there in solid waste management projects, particularly in Tamil Nadu?
The Primary challenge is all about the segregation of waste, at present days India's current technology infra which doesn't fully provide for efficient waste segregation. Municipal solid waste contains approximately 50% dry waste also including wood, iron, glass, tin, and rubber. Now, therefore, addressing their infra-structural gaps and ṭechnological is essentially required for optimizing waste management and also it enhancing the efficiency of CBG plants in the region.

What partnership does CEID have in place for setting up CBG plants, and how does the company contribute to biogas in India?

Currently, India produces 101 tonnes of CGB across the country. Also, it contains a strategic partnership to grow our CBG plant networking and they indulge in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) beneath the SATAT initiative. During the India Energy Week 2024, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), Petronet LNG and IOCL, BPCl & GAIL. Looking forward we want to especially make an up-high our subsidy to over 359 tonnes per day in the next financial year this is the commitment to a sustainable energy solution in India.
