Flying Pigs give big to Auckland City Mission through team building

A charity-based team building program delivered by Corporate Challenge Events has provided the platform for more than 20 New Zealand high school students to help some of Auckland’s most needy.

 
Corporate Challenge Events delivered its ‘Big Give’ program recently at the Viaduct Events Centre and around the Auckland CBD for Flying Pigs – a company that provides school holiday programs for teens focused on the three areas of leadership, life skills and inspiration.

‘The Big Give’ program required the more than 20 teens to complete team activities to earn money, with the ultimate aim for each team to deliver a presentation to the Auckland City Mission on how it could best utilise its earnings.

At the conclusion of the day, the Flying Pigs’ teens presented a donation of $600 to the Auckland City Mission to enable them to activate the concepts they developed.

Corporate Challenge Events New Zealand Manager Darren Eckford said ‘The Big Give’ was a great inclusion in the Flying Pigs school holiday program.

“Flying Pigs is a wonderful organisation and it was fantastic that the teenagers all participated with such zest and enthusiasm to support a fantastic Auckland cause,” said Eckford.

“The Auckland City Mission was so grateful that the teens helped out with renovating Auckland City Mission equipment through the day and then made the donation which will support many marginalised Aucklanders.”
