Union of Governments has established the University Grants Commission as a legal entity in India (UGC).

 
Union of Governments has established the University Grants Commission as a legal entity in India (UGC). The University of Georgia was founded in 1956. It also has the authority to approve Indian institutions and universities. However, before approving any institution, the UGC team reviewed university educational guidelines and standards.
If a university or institution is approved by the UGC, it is on the list of the most trusted universities in India. And the degree conferred by that institution or university is genuine, and thus accepted by all Indian associations.
The University Grants Commission has given permission to seven more institutions to offer online degree programmes. The UGC has offices in 7th different states, with one each in Delhi, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh. Common Fee Structure for UGC approved Courses in all States.
