Colette Prevost – A Renowned Name in Social Services

This press release is written to announce to readers that Colette Prevost is a recognized name in social services and advancing of individuals’ rights in Canada.

 
From child welfare, to human rights and gender equity, Colette Prevost has announced her presence in various social services areas. She is determined to help every child and woman secure their rights. A social worker by training, Colette Prevost has worked with numerous non‐profit organizations in the 30 years she spent protecting people’s rights. She has worked in the areas of policy development, board governance, organizational restructuring, and staff training. In the Northern Ontario area, she is a renowned name due to her work in social services and mental health services’ development and management.

Colette Prevost has experience working in the areas of advocacy, direct intervention, coalition building and administration. She has done a lot of work to ensure the advancing the rights of individuals through equality building leadership. She has worked with different organizations including Sudbury Family Service, Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing, YWCA Sudbury, York Region Children’s Aid and Mental Health/Addictions Centre Nipissing General Hospital.

She was a sessional faculty member at Nipissing University and at Laurentian University. She completed her Bachelor of Social Work from Laurentian University in 1987, and her Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University in the year of 1988. Laurentian University honored Colette Prevost for her contribution to advancing the interests of women.
With such accomplishments, she has become a recognized name in social services in Canada.

She has been committed to advancing the interests of women, children and the rights of individuals in the community. She has worked with Sudbury Family Service, Community Counselling Centre of Nipissing, Centre Nipissing General Hospital, and YWCA Sudbury. She now serves as the Chief Executive Officer at York Region Children’s Aid.
