World of Warcraft 10-year subscribers will get this statue as thanks from Blizzard

So the other day we reported that there were several World of Warcraft gamers who received a notification informing them that a package from Blizzard had been sent their way. Well as it turns out, the package is that of a World of Warcraft statue which you can see in the image to your right, a statue which also celebrate that particular gamer's 10-year subscription to the game.

According to the wording on the base of the statue, "The orc statue is a constant presence in our life at Blizzard entertainment. It's where we meet to talk, to eat, to celebrate. As we celebrate ten years of World of warcraft, we present this token of appreciation to you, stalwart adventurer. Thank you for being a constant presence in our lives as we adventure together."

Like we said not all gamers qualified to receive the statue as it seems that only gamers who have subscribed to the game for a long time are eligible to receive it. It also seems that players must have created and signed up for a World of Warcraft account within 60 days of the game's release in America or Europe, which we're guessing only serves to reduce that pool even further.

Either way it is a pretty cool statue and if you're wondering if you're eligible, you should have received an email by now, if you haven't we guess you'd be out of luck. However we can only imagine that some gamers will be enterprising and put these collectibles up on eBay or Craigslist, so do keep an eye out for it if you are hoping to get your hands on one.

How wow gamers think about this Statue:

So you have to have had 10 years of a totally uninterrupted subscription? Dammit, my account is 10 years old, but stopped playing at the end of 2011. - jf79

That's like 拢1800 of subscription fees spent on WoW. - PcGamingRig

With the money they spent on ten years of WoW, they could each buy a factory in China that produces statues. - Exquisite

I wonder if you could earn your whole 10 years of sub selling the statue on Ebay? - Ultron IV

That's really nice of them. It makes me a little envious of not actually having played WoW (not that I'd have been able to back then). I'm curious to see the actual numbers as I imagine it won't be a huge amount just to see how many have stuck through from the beginning.Hopefully those who get it are happy with it, something like that would really make me feel like I'm an appreciated customer. - Farron

I had my account since day 1. However I was not a subscriber constantly throughout the 10 years. Guess I'm not eligible - Lord Atma

That's thoughtful of them. A very cool reward. This is one of the perks of signing up annually to a service, particularly a game service. - TheArt0fNewb

I know I got the game early, but I can't remember when. Probably not within the window since I have no email, unless you have to be currently subscribed as well, since I play WoW on and off for a few month chunks at a time. I just stopped last month on my last binge. - Grawbad

To be eligible, players must have created a World of Warcraft account within 60 days of the game's original launch in North America or Europe - Nov. 23, 2004 and Feb. 11, 2005, respectively - Grawbad

Made my account 3 days after release because of the servers were down all the time. No e-mail... So there goes the whole "with in 30 days" statement.Account is active, though I no longer play (lent to my family member)... So that isn't the case.I hate when Blizzard does these Anniversary things. I still remember the 5 year one and them limiting it to the first day people who registered. I tired for 3 days to register my account every hour and the servers were never up because of the hundreds of thousands of people. So this statue has more requirements then be registered with in the first 30 days of the launch of WOW. - Truth_Hurts_U

12/25/2004, when i joined. I haven't subbed a full 10 years, skipped Cata and havne't looked back after Panda. You really got to be a fanatic to have stuck around WoW for a straight 10 years, game keeps getting twisted into something different. - Vexov
