At the production point the bulk quantity is stored and the liquid filling line is utilized to fill retail packs of exact weight or volume in primary containers like bottles or cans which can be filled. They are then lidded and press fitted, where individual cans are coded and the statutory details are arranged in groups – or in a matrix from which it can be picked up and placed in outer packs (erected by an integrated carton erector) and ultimately sealed cartons are arranged in layers on a pallet that is ready to be dispatched out of the plant. A modern plant has various systems of product movement within the plant and where a manufacturing process involves series of sequential operations and final packing.
