Los Angeles, CA – Miss Kinsman has always been fashion-forward, but this month, the designer label will be taking on the direction of philanthropy as well. On October 13, 2012, the Susan G. Komen Foundation Pink-Tie Gala will be hosted by Lauren Conrad at the Millennium Biltmore in Downtown LA, and the swim label will be stepping in as sponsor to the event in an effort to raise awareness for breast cancer research.

To help in the cause, Miss Kinsman is set to donate to the silent auction a custom PINK bikini of the winner’s choosing from its collection of Brazilian cut bottoms and elegant tops. This particular piece comes straight off of the latest Lingerie SWIM Collection, and in this case the one-of-a-kind number is highlighted with hand-dyed lace, jewelled Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbons to keep in line with the Breast Awareness campaign.

Owner and designer of Miss Kinsman, Joanna Kinsman, has expressed her gratitude for this chance at being made an official sponsor of the foundation. “Sending a huge thank you to the Komen LA County for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this special night,” she said in their official website.

All profits made from the bikini’s auction, which lists a retail value of $500, will be given directly to the foundation. What’s more, the lucky gala guest who succeeds in the bid will not only be giving to a good cause, but will also have the chance to meet with the designer herself for a custom bikini fitting.

The LA County Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation is committed to raising funds year round to find a cure for breast cancer and provide healthcare including mammograms and treatments to women who have been diagnosed with the disease.

The 2012 Susan G. Komen Foundation Pink-Tie Gala Event is the second iteration of the event, and is promised to offer an elegant evening of fashion, entertainment, and will be attended by Hollywood celebrities as well as elite local supporters of the cause.
