A seed drill is an item of farm equipment that equally sows agricultural seeds in the soil by measuring out the place and covering them to a defined average depth. Seeds are sown at similar distances and depths by the seed drill, ensuring that they are covered in soil and protected from pests and birds. Farmers used to plant seeds by hand before seed drills were introduced. Seeds were planted incorrectly when distributed manually, resulting in a low rate of yield due to the improper distribution of seeds.
The use of a seed drill greatly improve the crop yield ratio. Planters are drill machines that are used to measure out seeds for planting. A machine that takes up seeds from a bin and plants them down a tube is designed in the concept. This disc seed drill also aids in the fertilizer application to the crops.

Seed drills or planters have several important functions.
• The length of the grooves that are exposed to the seed can be changed.
• Places the seed on the field in the appropriate pattern.
• Places the seed in the soil consistently and precisely at the specified depth.
• To improve germination and emergence, cover the seed in the soil.
• It's best to utilise it in locations where soil erosion is a problem.

Benefits of Seed Drill Machine:
• Flawless operation
• High durability
• Light weight
• Suitability of Seed for sowing- Garlic, Wheat, Ground-Nut, Castor, Maize, Cumin seed, Soya been, Sunflower Cotton Seed, all types of Grains, Cereals & Pulses seeds.

Uses of Seed drill machine
Seed drills are used to automate the sowing of agricultural crop seeds. A seed drill consists of a seed box packed with seeds and a series of tubes that may be positioned at various distances to allow the plants to grow in the best possible environment.
Farmers can use the seed drill to sow seeds in rows at specific depths. Each tube connecting to the seed boxes drills a precise hole, drops in one or more seeds, and then covers it. It allows farmers to plant seeds at a much more controlled depth and to cover the seeds in soil without having to backtrack.
Weed control is further helped by the use of a seed drill. Seed drill-placed crops are significantly more uniform than hand-placed crops, which are normally planted in rows.
Before sowing crop seeds, the field should be leveled and harrowed. The land is dug up with a plough, and the soil is smoothed with a harrow that breaks up the clods. The seed size is set on the drill, then the grain is loaded into the seed box on top, and the drill is driven behind a tractor, planting seeds at predetermined spacing and depth. A seed drill allows a farmer to plant seeds in numerous rows at once.
In locations where soil erosion is common and soil does not need to be ploughed, a seed drill is recommended. In some regions, disturbing the compact soil might cause erosion from wind and water; in these situations, farmers use seed drills to plant seeds straight into the soil.
