I’m delighted to spotlight another great jewelry designer! This time I had the pleasure of getting know designer, Rehana! You’ve no doubt seen the Replica Van Cleef & Arpels Rings amazing designs and unique styles she creates for the Artisan Gem Collection of India. I know you already love the collection, but keep reading and I think you might love getting to know Rehana even more!
Q. How did you get started in jewelry design?
A. I’ve loved jewelry since I was a little girl. I used to walk around the house wearing my mother’s traditional Indian jewelry when I was 6 years old. As an adult, I was presented the opportunity to work with the jewelry and I realized it was my calling. I met Vinay and Raj in 2001, and I was instantly in awe of their jewelry! I gave a few suggestions to them about a design and they offered me a job! Things just took off after that!

Q. Who has had the most influence on your work?
A. When I started working with Vinay, I was introduced to a very unique style of jewelry Fake Van Cleef Alhambra Ring design that incorporated gemstones I had never seen before. I had worked with stones in my previous job but they were mostly opals. Vinay is the one who taught me how to design around the stone and to let the stones be the focus of the design.

Q. Where do you draw your design inspiration?
A. All of our design team including myself draw inspirations from the natural beauty of the stones and other materials that we work with.
Q. How often do you travel? Where in the world has your career taken you?
A. I am gone 2 weeks of the month in slow season and even more during the busy season. I’ve traveled around the world for my job including Asia, Australia, Europe and of course all over America. My favorite place to travel for work is India though. It’s the best part of my job because I get to sit in the design room surrounded by thousands of stones.  When I am there time flies and there are not enough hours in a day!
Q. What are some of your other passions or hobbies?
A. I love being at home, although I don’t get to enjoy my home enough. When I’m there I enjoy being in my backyard gardening.
Just one example of Rehana’s green thumb!
Q. What is the one piece of jewelry you never leave home without and why?
A.  I never Cheap Van Cleef Clover Ring leave home without a gold band with a little emerald in it.  It belonged to my mother and is the last piece of jewelry she gave me before she passed away earlier this year.
Q. What is one fun fact most people don’t know about you?
A. I love cooking(and eating of course)!! I love watching cooking shows, looking up recipes online and making them at home. I bought my house because the kitchen was so wonderful.
I am amazed at the passion Rehana has for jewelry and gemstones and the lengths she goes to create such beautiful pieces! I hope you enjoyed getting to know more about her and make sure you check out all of our today!
Beautiful Days – Wyatt White On Jewel School!

This past week has been full of the most beautiful days!  The sky is sooooo blue and the air almost has that crisp feeling of fall.  The leaves have almost decided to give in to the golden hues of autumn, and football is blended with art festivals all over Tennessee.  Maybe THIS is the most wonderful time of the year.
Take a look at the view from my back porch.  I will send you more shots when the leaves are in their full glory, but just take a look at this blue sky!  Would you say Turquoise or Larimar blue? And speaking of beautiful days…….Wyatt White will be with us this week on Jewel School.  This is exciting news for those of us who know Wyatt.  If you don’t know him, it’s worth your time to keep reading!
Wyatt is the Product Manager and Education Director at Beadalon.  Basically, all of the Beadalon product is touched, in some way, by Wyatt.  Beadalon is very well known in the jewelry-making community.  They are the only company in this business that makes its own wire, stand, and cable for bead stringing, jewelry making, and crafts.  Other brands Knockoff Van Cleef Butterfly Ring simply label or respool wire purchased from third party factories.  This manufacturing difference gives Beadalon the capability to design and produce exciting new wire products in-house…….and they expand that new product desire into lots of different areas including unique tools, exclusive cords and stringing accessories, innovative findings, organizers….you get the idea.
When Wyatt comes to visit, we always learn so much – not only about the Beadalon product, but about what is happening in the industry.  Wyatt is full of information, and he tells it in such a lovely manner!  In fact, this Sunday night, Wyatt will be going out to dinner with me, Kim and Christiane.  Oh….my……gosh!   Can’t wait to hear THAT conversation!
Let me take you through a quick tour of the product for this week’s show.  Beadalon??  Absolutely!!
New Techniques……
Wyatt will show us a terrific new way of cold connections on 16ga, 14ga, and 12ga artistic wire.  He will debut it on Jewel School Monday morning! It’s a simple yet very effective way to connect cuff bracelets and bangle bracelets as well as make chain.  You use this new product along with tools that you probably already have.  If not, we will be showing the tools you need on the show.  This is AWESOME, to say the least.  This picture may look unassuming, but you may want to pre-order the, as well as the
Beadalon is blessing us with several new products this coming show.  For example, they are releasing their new findings forms in creative holiday shapes.  Isn’t this cute?  Can’t you just SEE the jewelry?  And perfect for getting your booth ready for the show season.  These shapes include a tree, a star, a bell and a snowman.  We put them together with great Christmas-colored wire in red, green, gold and silver.  Perfect!
The Sparkle Bar…..
Beadalon makes a beautiful component called a “Sparkle Bar.”  It’s exactly what the word implies – a bar that sparkles.  (hehe)  We put it in a kit to enable Replica Van Cleef Between the Finger Ring you to make some beautiful bracelets very simply.  And by simply, I mean that the elasticity cord is back!  The kit it just perfect. Here is what Christiane and I made…..

14k Gold Filled Gallery Wire…..
This really makes me happy!  Finally, there is a from Beadalon.  Did anyone say “New Product”??  Gallery wire is a simple way to hold gemstones in a pendant setting.  This wire will work regardless of the size, shape, or cut of the stone.  Seriously – the stone can be a round, faceted tourmaline or a trillion, cabochon opal.  The gallery wire will work.

Hint:  Wyatt has a “free gift” he made with the gallery wire for someone out there.  We will talk about it on the show.
In honor of the new gallery wire, Julie purchased some great to go along with your new designs.
Ball and bar chain kit
Christiane grabbed them early on and make this incredible piece.  She will be providing the tutorial on Monday.
