2023 Pinwheels for Prevention Pinwheel planting ceremony

On At 4:30PM CASA of Caroline County, local business Apr 5, 2023 partners, public schools, and community members will be planting blue pinwheels in Denton, Maryland.

 
To kickoff the month of Aprils child abuse prevention campaign. Followed by a reception next door at
the Caroline Arts Council located at 401 Market Street, Denton MD 21629. Where pinwheel
artwork will be on display which is received from participation of all Caroline County public school
children.
There has been great success and a positive public reception in previous years. The campaign
aligns with CASA of Caroline's goals of supporting children of abuse and neglect by raising
awareness to prevent it from happening in the first place.
Prevent Child Abuse America started the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign in 2008 to create a
national effort to change the public’s beliefs and behaviors regarding child abuse and neglect
prevention.
The event is open to the public and media teams are encouraged to attend. It is also CASA of
Caroline's 20th anniversary of its formation and serving the community. It is expected that state
and county officials will be in attendance.

CASA of Caroline, Inc. advocates for the best interest of all abused and neglected
children who are in the Caroline County court system through no fault of their own. As
empowered by the Circuit Court of Caroline County, volunteer advocates will be trained
to make assessments and recommendations to the court on behalf of these children.
