This fist electric motorcycle, named Empulse TT, is now only sold in the United States. Until Victory Motorcycles finish the global demand plan, can this motorcycle be exported to other countries. The parent company of Victory, Polaris, bought Brammo in January 2015. Empulse TT is updated from Empulse R, while engineers from Victory and Brammo have been working hard to improve some problems, like the battery capacity. However, compared with Brammo Empluse R, new Empulse TT has a longer charging time.

Brammo claimed that from the test of highway and city road, Empulse can run up to 80 miles, while Empulse TT can reach 57 miles. Empulse TT need 3.9 hours to get full charged by using a dedicated Stage2 charger, while Empulse R can be fully charged within 3.5 hours by using the same charger. The horsepower and torque are reduced down, torque of Empulse R is 66 lbft while Empulse TT is 61 lbft, HP is the same, still 54 hp. The tail speed of Empulse R can reach 110 MPH (176 km), while Victory claims that Empulse TT can run more than 100 MPH (160 km).

Press release of Victory is as follows,
Empulse TT is derived from Brammo Empulse R. Victory cooperated with Brammo since 2011, and in January 2015, Polaris acquired Brammo, since then, engineers from Victory and Brammo work together as a team to achieve high capacity of the battery, display function and controllability. The maximum speed of Empulse TT can reach 100 miles (160 km), equipped with a high volume of 10.4 kWh battery, a built-in battery charger and a convenient SAE J1772 plug in the front of the seat.

The lithium ion battery used for Empulse TT is the phase 2 charger, which can use 240 v power socket attachment and get full charged for only 3.9 hours.
In typical riding, the endurance of Empulse TT battery is about 65 miles. To ride to 100 miles, the rider need to delicately control the throttle and use regenerative charging system of this motorcycle accessories. From the preliminary test in Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), it showed 94 miles. Combined with 70 miles per hour in highway roads and 57 miles per hour in urban areas, the rider can get the utmost out of the 10.4 kWh battery, by using the rise and fall of six-speed gearbox gear to create renewable power when the motorcycle is slowing down, and it feel like engine brake.

The clutch is used only when gear shift, when start or stop, the rider should not pull the clutch. When beginning to start, you just need to turn the throttle, the water-cooled electric motors, will release enough and impressed torque for you. In Empulse TT unique transmission system, the neutral position is between the second and third gear, the rider can either stop at the third gear, no matter what speed, or continue to ride and only need to open the switch, choose three gears, no need to use the clutch, and turn the throttle, then you can enjoy the pleasure of riding.

Not all electric motorcycles have a gearbox, while Empulse TT gearbox system, gave the motorcycle a dynamic life, and it increases the interaction between the rider and the motorcycle. Except for daily riding under the ECO MODE, you can also choose SPORTS MODE to meet the need of high performance. Under SPOTRS MODE, the battery will release more power around 20% to improve the acceleration performance. Just hold the start button for a second, the motorcycle will be switched to the SPORT mode. In this mode, the renewable power will be more, and the engine brake is more apparently, the LCD screen will provide speed, rotating speed, gear, clock, and most importantly the battery capacity, besides, it can also calculate the rest distance. You can feel free to purchase the high performance and original accessories like front suspension, body ball, goggles, and trunk group. Victory Empulse TT is expected to start selling in the United States at the end of 2015.
