PLEASANT GROVE, UT - Software company Carketa guarantees that their mobile reconditioning (recon) app can help car dealerships increase their sales while decreasing recon process time.

Introducing the Carketa App, the first app developed by the Pleasant Grove-based company in the industry. The app offers different features that can help car dealerships -and car buyers- bring efficiency to their transactions and processes.

Carketa, which also runs a car listings website, is owned and operated by Brady Thurgood and Jason Berry, both entrepreneurs and car enthusiasts. Their primary goal is to allow car dealerships to improve their business and buyers to improve their experience.

"We started out as Green Light Auto Inspections over a year ago,” says Thurgood, “a company that provided more detailed vehicle inspections. It helped car dealerships in several states. We changed our name to Carketa because we see so much more potential to help with our website and app than just with the inspections. We want to reach out to more dealerships and more states by providing our services and tools."

The Carketa Recon App has three main products: The Reconditioning Tool, Current Condition Reports, and the Marketplace.

The Reconditioning Tool is designed to make every recon process faster and more seamless than ever. With features such as VIN scanner, vehicle appraisals, and repair tracker the tool cuts the recon process time frame in half. This allows car dealerships to manage inventory better, determine bottlenecks, and track expenses with just a few swipes.

The Current Condition Report affords car sellers the ability to create a more productive car buying experience online. It is a pre-purchase inspection, with over 60 categories and 200+ points of inspection. Moreover, the chat feature allows car sellers and buyers to talk to a recon expert who can help navigate the reports as well as report updates.
Carketa's third key feature, the Marketplace, is where one can find and buy vehicles. This is an available platform for car dealers to display their vehicles for sale. The Marketplace, available on Carketa's website, has already assisted current partners in selling thousands of vehicles. This listings platform is accessible only to Carketa's partnered sellers, but all car sellers are welcome to join. Carketa currently has more than 600 partnered car dealerships.
