Madrid, Spain: On July 12, 2021, El Alfàs del Pi Film Festival in Madrid, Spain named “Eva’s Comet,” written by jD Shapiro, awarded best actor to Elisabeth Larena and Kimberly Tell. The winner of the one of the most prestigious film festivals in Spain honoring such notables as Pedro Almodóvar and Álex de la Iglesia. The award gives high value to this film directed by jD Shapiro & Alfonso Antolín.

jD Shapiro says.” Two broken women, both stuck in the past, opposite in almost every way, are thrust together and end up changing each other’s lives.”

“It’s also a metaphor for how people on the left and right treat each other. Too often neither side having any compassion for the other side, too often judging someone in a negative light without knowing anything about that person, too often thinking one’s own pain is above anyone else’s.”
