With close to a dozen states considering the decriminalization of marijuana use in 2016, Cannabliss is forecasting that the year could prove to be a turning point that takes what has become the fastest-growing industry in the US to far greater heights.

With state after state passing bills and public support for the substance’s effectiveness as a medicine growing, the company believes that awareness of the movement could become “front and center for Americans everywhere”

“Our own state of Florida’s vote notwithstanding, the swell of support we’re seeing around the country for this fundamental change in the perception of what is a far less harmful drug than alcohol is incredibly encouraging,” said Brad Flint, marketing spokesperson for Cannabliss.

Cannabliss is still in the process of raising $5 million from private placement investment in order to fund the establishment of a chain of 22 stores in the sunshine state that will sell edible cannabis products to patients with prescriptions from licensed physicians.

The state of Florida will vote on a ballot to legalize medical marijuana on November 8, 2016. A bid to have recreational use of marijuana included on the Florida state ballot failed last year.
