Burhani Engineers Limited (BEL), a leading integrated engineering company in Kenya has appointed regional executives to lead its diversification program across Africa.

The company's expansion aims to capitalize on the continent's expanding population and the need to support its infrastructure by building on its 46 years of local knowledge in mechanical, instrumentation, civil and electrical engineering.

It seeks to expand its reach from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda to South Sudan, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Zambia, Madagascar, Seychelles, Mozambique and Zimbabwe to pursue infrastructure opportunities.

The Kenyan company has elevated the role of its Managing Director Zoher Pirbhai to Chief Transformation Officer to oversee its strategic expansion plans in the 13 Sub-Saharan African countries.

Over the years, Burhani has successfully executed major engineering services works, including in Oil and Gas, Power, Infrastructure, Aviation, Food and beverage and mining for public and private sector projects.

According to the United Nations, Africa is the continent with the fastest population growth. The UN projects that by 2050, the continent's population will have doubled to more than 2 billion people, necessitating the construction of new roads, power plants, water reticulation systems, and other infrastructure due to the exponential growth of urban areas.
