[Lafayette, 02/06/2017] – eTakeoff, LLC, a supplier of electronic management programs from Colorado, integrates eTakeoff Dimension with their Cost Estimating systems using an innovative software product called eTakeoff Bridge. With a simple “drag and drop” mechanism, users can easily assess and send results from one system to another.
Bridging Gaps
eTakeoff, LLC currently integrates eTakeoff Bridge with Sage Estimating 300, a system they also offer. As a separate program running between eTakeoff Dimension and the Sage Estimating system, eTakeoff Bridge captures all the items the user encodes in the management software, and assesses the gathered information from the estimating systems.
Users may view the results from the Bridge Main window. According to eTakeoff, an estimator just needs to drag a single measurement from eTakeoff Dimension and drop it onto the proper estimating item or assembly in the Bridge Window. From there, the system does all the work.
Drag and Drop
eTakeoff Bridge may learn the proper relationship between the drawing measurement and the estimate item or assembly using a simple “drag and drop” mechanism, just as long as the estimator teaches the program. Once the system connects the variables between the measurements, eTakeoff sends the results to the estimating system.
eTakeoff Bridge becomes more intelligent the more programmers use it to do more takeoff measurements. Eventually, the system learns to effortlessly automate as much of the integration required by the user.
For beginners or confused users, eTakeoff also offers an Overview Video on their website on how the mechanism works.
