Ephraim Global, the Tokyo based asset management company, considers that even though market fluctuations have recently impacted investors’ confidence they should remain assured about the long term basics that deliver positive returns in their investment portfolios.

The latest issue of International Reviews affirms that, as opposed to years past, big macro demands are beginning to be less significant and, at present, more concentrated decisions are needed. While private clients continue to pursue opportunities in order to transition from fixed income towards equity or commodities, many pension fund investors are targeting the timing of shifts towards bonds for liability analysis or different regulatory considerations.

Nathan Levesque, Director of International Research at Ephraim Global, commented: “Being assisted by a progress in capital expenditures as companies become increasingly confident, the recovery of international economies seems to remain unscathed for the remained of 2015 and well into 2016. We consider that clients need to remain as composed as possible in their manner of reasoning, and also an unconstrained strategy would be more effective rather than acquiring the entirety of the index. As a result our funds are becoming more concentrated in regards to regional as well as state segments and stock selection”.
