The managing director of TCM, Allan Thompson, started out as a boat builder, served his apprentice years at the shipyards on the Tyne and went on to become one of the most respected boat builders. Subsequently he moved on to form TCM, which has been running for over 25 years.

Allan and his professional team have traditionally designed and constructed bespoke research models for a customer base including universities and international yacht teams.

Most recently TCM has provided working scale models to the Mirabella Team following construction of the world's biggest single masted yacht. Also another recent project was a complete redesign of a TVR.

Defined as experts when working with glass fibre reinforced plastic, TCM are increasingly developing the production of carbon components and lifting boundaries in all directions of its fabrication. Due to its highly unique properties and advantages for all industries TCM, alongside Deksmart have completed a range of challenging and exclusive projects across all sectors.

Through the partnership of both parties, we are on a constant lookout for new requirements and for unusual products involving custom and bespoke carbon fibre creations.
