How Did I Build Muscle Without Weights

I would be strong but at the same time flexible and it felt like everything I had to do was a lighter workload which meant I could do more than I usually do.

 
I have always been around friends who hit the gym every day for probably three to five hours a day but the weights never really excited me. Yes, I have tried and yes, it is not bad. Weight lifting just never really made me feel good. Getting bulked up makes you look good but I felt less flexible and less comfortable in my own skin. Honestly, I felt like my body adapted too much to the gym equipment that I really did not know what to do but just repeat what I do again and again and yet again. This prompted me to ask myself, why not try something new? Why not try something totally different than my regular routine? I still wanted to continue working out because I haven’t reached my Ideal body type but this time, I wanted to build muscle without weights.

Building muscle mass without weights was not easy, shifting from this all-protein-diet and weightlifting to push-ups, pull-ups and a whole new routine which often felt harder to do than the regular weightlifting. I would try to insert a new type of exercises every once in awhile and slowly but surely, my body was starting to adapt to my new program and I started to feel more flexible and amazingly, I felt stronger. Instead of carrying heavier and heavier weights, my body actually started to feel lighter and lighter which made me feel amazing! My workout even started to affect me on a deeper level as my life started to feel lighter and easier and I was so glad I was still able to build muscle without weights. I would be strong but at the same time flexible and it felt like everything I had to do was a lighter workload which meant I could do more than I usually do.

The secret though is it was not just in my program, but also in my supplements. I used to be the “Eat three eggs. Drink a liter of milk. Eat a kilo of meat” kind of guy but right now, I became a bit more relaxed with my diet since my supplements did the job for me. I did not have to force myself to eat certain foods I did not really enjoy and I was able to eat what I wanted again but with moderation of course. All I am saying is that you do not have to kill yourself and trying to push yourself way over your limits, if you want something, just do it right. If building muscle mass without weights was possible for me, I am pretty sure it is possible for other people with just the right amount of determination and a smart way of doing things. Building muscle without weights is definitely possible.
