November 26, 2015 – Brain Matter Research is currently operating in Palm Beach, Florida is one of the largest and the most respected private clinical facility specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of Alzheimer's disease.

Dr. Mark Brody – the founder and the principal investigator of the memory care facility relates Alzheimer's disease to cancer. He believes that cancer patients take immediate action in order to seek out the best specialist and treatment plan. He states, “our mission is to elevate Alzheimer’s disease to that level of urgency. It is a degenerative “cancer of the brain” that no one survives. Brain Matters Research is on a mission, and we need community involvement……those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, those at risk for the disease, those concerned they might be having symptoms, and those willing to participate in the research process”.

“Doing nothing is no longer an option”, he believes. Brain Matter Research facility is spanned on 10,000 square foot with six private examination room and six for infusion purpose. The waiting rooms for patients along with caregivers are fully equipped with cable TV and Wi-Fi. Lab facilities are also available on-site with 2 phlebotomist working full time and equipped with ECG machines, refrigerated centrifuge, and a lab processing area with CLIA waiver.

The memory care facility not only provides support and care to the patients but also raises awareness of the disease in families and caregivers of the patients. The patients suffering from the disease are examined (physically and neurologically) in the initial visit along with lab tests, MRIs, etc. after the examination procedure is completed, the physician will make an accurate diagnosis on the condition of the patient and draft out a care plan based on the patients requirements as well as the family members and the caregiver.
The facility also offers a clinical trial program which offers studies on who gets the disease, why they get it, treatment for Alzheimer's and other brain-related illness, and prevention. They usually have 18-20 ongoing clinical trials. The organization is always on the lookout for volunteers as well who can help out at events and spread the word about Brain Matter Research as well.
