This press release is to announce to readers that BPHope.com explains the types of bipolar disorders and offers readers a community of hope.

BPHope.com is an online magazine that offers an enormous amount of information for those in the bipolar community. Among those are individuals suffering from anxiety or depression and many of the articles and highlights are applicable for these as well. Anxiety and depression are among the most common mental disorders in America today with a full 18% of the population being affected. Unfortunately, only one-third of that 18% actually seek treatment.

A spokesperson from BPHope.com talked about the various types of bipolar disorders, “Bipolar I disorder is marked by one or more manic episodes that last a week or more and require hospitalization. Episodes of anxiety or depression may also occur and the individual’s behavior may lead to severe financial, family and social disruption.

Bipolar II disorder is characterized by one or more anxiety depression episodes that are accompanied by at least one hypomanic episode. Here, the individual’s behavior is clearly different from their normal behavior.

Cyclothymic disorder is marked by chronic mood fluctuations that never quite reach the level of full manic or depressive episodes. The symptoms still, however, cause a significant amount of distress in the person’s relationship, work, school and other areas of their life. Cyclothymic disorder symptoms are milder than Bipolar I and Bipolar II, but they recur within two months each time.”
