September 04th, 2021, USA – Fighting against oppression is not simple. It requires patience and unity to eradicate the issue and restore peace. Since the beginning of the black people’s movement in the USA, unity was necessary. However, the history of the community is fraught with discord. Today, if you ask anyone, What is Juneteenth, most people will answer correctly, notwithstanding their ethnicity. This day took a long time to get the recognition it has today.

All-encompassing unity is a futile idea

It is a known fact that a unified front is necessary to power any movement and keep it on track till the goals are achieved. All-encompassing unity is more of a utopian idea and theory which cannot happen in real life. Whenever there is a worthy cause for the people to fight for, they united under a banner or idea, but that unification was not ultimate. People within the community were not entirely convinced or supported every aspect of the concept. This is how the human race has been functioning for a long time and will continue to do so. Therefore, one should not dream of a cause or point where everyone unites against the oppressor.

Looking for alternative systems for the members of the community

The idea of unity or complete unity is a pipe dream which is not realistic enough. Hence, Blacks United is focused on unifying the greatest number of people. If you cannot make everyone agree to a cause, it will be better to try and convince the largest number within the community. This way, the theory and practical aspects of unity will remain achievable. When a movement is beginning, there will be a list of agendas. However, sadly all of them won’t get fulfilled because the real world does not function on theories. Hence, it is necessary to focus on the smallest of victories, which will inspire the people associated with the movement.

Accessing hope and the sense of belonging

Achieving absolute unity is not easy or even possible. Hence, Blacks United focuses on creating a platform and a space for the black people to mingle and belong. This space will be one where there won’t be any discrimination of any kind. Everyone will be free to be themselves, help each other, and hopefully will return for a better tomorrow for the African American community. Hence, there is no leader or one person of power system within the organization. It is more about people coming together and working together for a better future while accessing hope. It will be freely available for everyone.
