Due to severe Osteoarthritis in my lower back and both knees, I have been wheel chair bound for several years. I was looking for lightweight, portable, electric wheel chair that would allow me to leave the house and go places by myself. After trying several models available and not being satisfied, I hit on this OPOME one. This is one of the best values for the money I have ever purchased.

Upon OPOME arrival, I unpacked it and it practically unfolded itself from the box. Is is so easy to fold and unfold and there is virtually zero assembly to perform to place it into service. And believe me, you do not want to be standing a parking lot in the hot Texas sun assembling a wheel chair. It is light weight yet extremely sturdy.


I have used my OPOME chair outside the house almost every day since it arrived. It maneuvers nimbly around in hospitals, Dr's office buildings, retail stores, restaurants and anywhere else I used to walk. it also works extremely well on sidewalks and wheel chair ramps


With its two battery packs, I have yet to become stranded because I've run out of "juice". I just swap 'em around in less than 1 minute and keep on motoring. They charge up quickly in the evening and I never leave he house without both battery packs fully charged.


The seat is very comfortable (I am 5'10 and 225 lbs) and I have spent hours at a time in it with no discomfort. The flip out foot rest provides for a comfortable extension for my legs.


The OPOME controller is smooth and easy to operate and keeps the chair following the intended track. It is easy to attach and take off for transport. I wish there was a mute option for the back-up alarm feature. This beeping is annoying when maneuvering in an office or an elevator. Besides, we're not operating it on a loading dock!


I really cannot find any faults in it's design or assembly OPOME. The frame is tight and the welds are substantial, in line with its 5 year warranty on the chair frame.


One feature that another chair had was a USB port on it's Controller to enable a user to recharge a cell phone. This was a darn nice feature, but it did not overcome several other deficiencies in that wheel chair. I'd also like to see a better accommodation for packages in the area underneath the chair.
Finally, the OPOME Customer Support was super. I had contacted them to request they expedite the delivery time frame on my chair as I was about to move and they did it right away with no questions asked. And they followed up to insure I was happy!


I am totally pleased with my OPOME purchase and would recommend this OPOME electric wheel chair to anyone that is tired of being cooped up in a house and wants to get out and enjoy life again. This won't replace my lost mobility as a result of my osteoarthritis, but is has made a huge, positive difference in my quality of life.
