The Middle East region continues to grow as a significant consumer of all kinds of children’s products, driven by favourable rates of economic growth.

 
The Middle East region continues to grow as a significant consumer of all kinds of children’s products, driven by favourable rates of economic growth. As a result, the countries of the Middle East and North Africa attract interest from leading international manufacturers, said Epoc Messe Frankfurt, organiser of Playworld Middle East 2014.

Research analysts, Euromonitor International estimate that around 25% of the world population is expected to be between the ages of 0-14 by 2020. The Middle East & Africa is expected to report a much higher percentage at 37% underlining the potential growth market for toys and games in this region.

Dealing with the wide world of children’s products, Playworld Middle East expects to draw in new toys, games and children’s product manufacturers and suppliers, keen to further engage with buyers from the region.

With population growth rates traditionally high in the Middle East, emerging Asia and Africa these are the future areas of interest for the global players in the toys and games industry.

“Playworld Middle East has enabled international brands to engage with buyers and key decision makers from the region,” said Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of Epoc Messe Frankfurt. “This is a unique market that requires specialist attention which we aim to deliver with the needs of the regional market taken into consideration.”

The Kids Retail Forum which will take place as part of the exhibition has been designed to focus on all business aspects relating to products and services for the childrens‘ sectors. The forum will address topics ranging from children’s lifestyle products through to Back to School accessories and children’s toys with a central focus on doing business in the MENA region.

Playworld Middle East 2014 will see some brands make their regional debut in the coming edition including bicycle manufacturing giants Golden Wheel America and baby products specialist Bobie Baby.

Golden Wheel America are manufacturers of one of the world’s largest ranges of bicycles, bicycle accessories, bicycle replacement and upgrade parts. Their products have been exported across Europe, North America, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia and will be making their MENA debut at Playworld Middle East.

A spokesperson from Golden Wheel America, Mr. Kent, stated: “We are looking forward to our participation at the fair as it will give us an opportunity to expand our presence in the Middle East region. Our market presence is expanding across the world and we are now ready to also grow in this market which we have yet to tap into. Playworld Middle East provides us the ideal opportunity to make that happen.”

Bobie Baby specialise in the design and manufacture of widely-selling electric baby products including Electric Baby Swing, Swing N Bouncer and Baby Bouncer & Rocker. Playworld Middle East 2014 will run from March 4th to 6th, 2014 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre alongside Paperworld Middle East. The exhibition features: Toys & Games; Baby, Infant & Pre-school products; Bicycles & Sports Equipment; Models & Electronics; and Dolls & Children’s Lifestyle products.
