The Bill Plant Driving School has been training Driving Instructors for many years. Recently they have developed a new course in which candidates can ‘fast track’ their driving instructor training. This course is a residential course, taking place at the Bill Plant School of Motoring’s National Training Centre in Ripon, North Yorkshire.
Set over 7 days, PDI’s (Potential Driving Instructors) will access professional training to help them pass their exams.
The first 2 days focus on parts 1 and 2 of the ADI qualification exams. Part 1 being a theory and hazard perception test and part 2 being a practical driving test. Candidates will then leave and take their exam externally via the DVSA.
Upon successful completion of the part 1 and 2 exams, they will then be invited back to undertake training for the Part 3 exam. The third part of the ADI qualification is a test of ability to instruct. This is done over the remaining 5 days, again taking place at the national Training Centre in Ripon.
