The author announces deep Veterans Day discounts on the new military memoir

Orient, NY – Nov 11th 2021: Every year, Military.com announces a list of Veterans Day deals and discounts to hit stores, and this year is no different. However, book sales are a more frequent sight around traditional holidays rather than federal ones like Veterans Day.

However, in a rare development, author Nancy Hungerford revealed she would commemorate the holiday by announcing deep discounts on all stores selling her military memoir Well Done: A WWII Memoir from Childhood Dreams to Naval Aviator.

The book, currently available on at least five formats, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Google, Apple, and Kobo, is a war memoir based on the journal entries and diaries of Robert: Hungerford’s husband and one of the many aviators who served during the Second World War.

Since it came out in March 2021, the book has garnered mostly positive reviews from critics and readers alike, which is a rare feat, but one explained by the fact that Hungerford had ghostwritten two books before starting on one with her name on it.

“I picked this book up because my husband is a war veteran, and this book is told in the voice of one. The moment I got to the part about the rigorous flight training, the writer’s narration turned into a conversation. It also made me feel like I was there with Bob, experiencing all the highs of flying the Grumman’s Hellcat and lows of fallen comrades. Safe to say this won’t be my last Hungerford read,“ shared a reader.

According to a press statement released by the author’s publicist, the Veterans Day discount would apply to all the available book formats and extend to all five platforms. The Kindle version went from $2.99 to 99 cents, and the paperback from $17.99 down to $14.99. The hardcover has also gone from $31.99 to almost half that at $17.99.
