[b][BODMIN, 15/03/2018][/b] – Bodmin Jail in Cornwall is a historic attraction that served as a prison in the 18th century. Prisoners were kept in unsanitary conditions and subjected to hard labour before they take a final plunge at the gallows.

Today, it is open to tourists wishing to learn more about its long, dark history, and perhaps enjoy a nice meal or afternoon tea at the Governer’s Hall, Bodmin Jail’s own restaurant.

As one of the UK’s most haunted locations, Bodmin Jail gives visitors a chance to explore the depths of the cells and the hanging pits with their After Dark Paranormal Ghost Walks.

[b]Meals and Workshops[/b]

The After Dark Ghost Walks begin at 8.45 pm after the jail closes to the public. The event kicks off with a three-course meal at the Governor’s Hall, featuring delicious home cooked dishes prepared by an experienced chef. The restaurant uses only the highest quality, locally sourced ingredients.

After the meal, participants will receive a walking tour of the jail, where they will learn about the stories of the prisoners housed within. They will also learn about the various executioners who worked the hanging pit at the jail and participate in various workshops throughout the night.

Activities will continue until 5 am.

The After Dark Event give visitors a more intimate view of the jail and its dank cells. The whole visit will be presided over by the Resident Medium, who has over a decade of experience at the jail. He is a Psychic Medium and Energy therapist who offers an introduction to energy management and Reiki.

After exploring the various levels of the jail, participants will receive a signed certificate and a discount voucher for return visits. There will be unlimited tea and coffee served throughout the night. Bookings start at £80.00 per person.
