Geneva (June 13, 2025) – SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published an article reporting on a press release from the Agency for Standards and Quality (ANOR) of the government of Cameroon, which reiterates that all goods imported into the country (with some exceptions) must be inspected before shipment.
SGS has been approved by the Government of Cameroon to implement their pre-shipment conformity assessment program (PECAE), which includes the issuance of a certificate of conformity (CoC). This must be included as one of the documents required to be presented to customs for validation.
Any products shipped and found on the Cameroon market without a valid CoC risk seizure and financial penalties. SGS partners with ANOR, providing expert product conformity assessment (PCA) services for manufacturers, sellers and exporters trading in the country.
