Food Contact Plastics in a Circular Economy Webinar

Posted November 3, 2021 by BenChristie

A complimentary webinar on European regulations for renewable food contact materials.

SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, will host a complimentary webinar ‘Challenges and Solutions for Food Contact Plastics in a Circular Economy’ on Monday, November 22, 2021. The webinar will explore the issues surrounding renewable packaging and introduce current statutory requirements in Europe.

For companies moving towards a greener business model, the huge variations in regulatory responsibility across European markets can present a barrier to sustainable trade. In this webinar, SGS experts will explore how food contact materials (FCM) have been affected by increasing consumer demand for packaging that avoids waste and environmental pollution.

Regulatory standards used in Germany, France and the UK will be looked at, as well as the EU Single-use Plastics Directive 2019/904/EC. SGS experts Pascale Lambert and Udo Krischke will offer solutions to enable quick and compliant market access for FCM products.

This webinar is aimed at quality managers and purchase departments of retailers and manufacturers of FCM.
