STATE BANK OF MYSORE (SBM)
State Bank of Mysore was a Public Sector bank in India, with headquarters at Bangalore. It was one of the five associate banks of State Bank of India. It was established in the year 1913 as The Bank of Mysore Ltd. During 1953, “Mysore Bank” was appointed as an agent of Reserve Bank of India to undertake Government business and treasury operations, and in March 1960, it became a subsidiary of the State Bank of India under the State Bank of India (subsidiary Banks) Act 1959.
Now the bank is an Associate Bank under State Bank Group and the State Bank of India holds 92.33% of shares. The Bank’s shares are listed in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai stock exchanges
State Bank of Mysore(SBM) Bank Account Balance Enquiry Via SMS and Missed Call
State Bank of Mysore offers a wide range of banking products and financial services that include term deposit services such as savings, and current accounts, fixed and recurring deposits. Recently, the SBM bank has launched a new service called ‘SBM Quick’ facility that allows you to get your account balance or a mini statement on mobile phones.
Procedure to get account balance on Mobile
The service is available on all phones with or without GPRS connection and no need to download the application. All current or savings bank account holders in P segment and current account holders in SME segment are eligible and all customers can avail the service irrespective of telecom service provider. The service is free of charge and SMS cost will be borne by the customer.

IMPS-mobile to mobile transfer
Change MPIN.
To know your account balance on your mobile you can either send an SMS to the bank or give a missed call, But before anything, you have to visit the State Bank of Mysore and register your mobile to avail the service and get activated. You can also use this facility to check your loan balances, validity, payment, and so on, just by giving a missed call or sending an SMS to the bank.
