BE ART GALLERY & STUDIO (B.A.G.S.) RETURNS TO THE GALLERIA
WITH THE THIRD “ART IN THE MALL” COMMUNITY ART EVENT

St Louis, May 31, 2023 – The Be Art Gallery & Studio (B.A.G.S.) is collaborating with the St. Louis Galleria Mall to host the third “Art in the Mall” community art event.

B.A.G.S. is a non-profit organization that provides diverse art workshops, activities and curriculums to youth in the St. Louis community. Founded in 2018 by artist and teacher Byron D. Rogers, the organization uses art as a tool to help youth develop a sense of pride, of self, and an appreciation of the arts. Byron’s philosophy is that art is an avenue that promotes healing and growth while connecting us to each other. He is supported by a group of talented painters, graphic designers, photographers, sculptors, educators, musicians, life coaches and ministers who work tirelessly to help cultivate the inner artist that exists in everyone.

“Art in the Mall” is a community art event providing free access to art-based crafts and activities for youth and families. B.A.G.S. hosted the first “Art in the Mall” event on June, 2022, and returned to the Galleria in December, 2022 with “Holiday Art Land” where families created Christmas themed crafts. Those events were so successful that B.A.G.S. is returning to the Galleria for a third time with a new “Art in the Mall” event in June. Activities will include family yoga, jewelry making, zine bookmaking and jelly printing.

B.A.G.S would like to give special thanks to our sponsors including Clean Cut Lawns, Thrivent, Saint Louis Galleria and the Studio 858 Artist Media Co-op. We are so appreciative of their generosity!
